Angel of the Garden
- Garden sculpture in slate, glass and metal on wood plinth

- Softly abstract angelic form for the garden animated by light. Full sun casts the horizontal stained glass wing form across the body, much like a sun dial. This commission is based on the the original Solas. The client's daughter commissioned Four Elements bird font last year then surprised in return. Forged stainless bar edges the wing finished with a traditional scroll detail, halo and hoop supports fixed into the wood plinth. This version also provided opportunity to realise variations in the overall design such as, differences in dimensions, positioning of stained glass and other materials suggested as the work progressed.
