Poem Table and Ladder Back chairs

- The slate table surface is inlaid with with Robert Frost's shortest poem, 'The Secret'. One has to study the irridescant glass circle to discover the poem - where it begins and ends. Frost was talking about science's efforts to reveal natures's mysteries. The empty circular space in the centre of the table surface is a playful response to what the poem is saying. The deceptively simple wrought iron base is very heavy and matches the weight and substance of the surface which is set onto a hand-cast mortar ground. This is an example of the top-end heirloom quality incorporated into the work with an indefinite lifespan.
