Percheron Opus

- I gradually built up the substrate shape in left over cement and grout mixes on a wire armature. Recently mosaiced the surface in a range of interesting materials including molten clinker from the forge bed. There is about four weeks labour in the mosaic surface. I experimented with the method mixing flat, end-on and imbeded techniques. The glass is placed to capture maximum light refractions giving the surface even more variety and depth. The tail is forged out of stainless steel in several sections wrapped in lead at the stump. More views below.
