My studio and services

My studio is situated in a disused stone quarry surrounded by wildlife – a nurturing environment reflecting my strong interest in nature and natural material. The quarry originally provided limestone for Weston's Victorian architecture. It has been turned over to a stunning five acres of wildlife conservation, with mechanical and architectural remains of the original industry.

The quarry contains a small visitor centre museum, artists’ studios, a gallery and cafe. It is open to the public 10.30am-4.30pm Wed-Sun, 48 weeks of the year.

Old Town Quarry, Queens Road, Weston Super Mare, North Somerset, BS23 2LU.

Quarry public tel no. 01934 628050.

I wounder if you have heard of Berrell Jensen. She is in her 70’s now and I do care work for her occasionally. She worked in metal sculpture and some of her work made it to banks in Manhattan.I also did mosaic, just a bit. Great work Helen.

I truly love your work and must say I’m terribly jealous of your studio!;)))
Perhaps in my next life I’ll have a studio like that!
    All the best!

    Hi Teswa,

Thanks for your visit.  Yes, my studio is in a lovely disused quarry.  I actually have a very small studio space inside the building alongside other artists but I am very lucky to be able to work in the wonderful outside too.
